Beth Darlington, PhD, is a New York State licensed and certified Jungian analyst and has practiced in Poughkeepsie, New York, for over twenty years. She is a retired Professor of English at Vassar College. A graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute of New York, Beth has served as president of its governing board and on its curriculum, examination, and outreach committees in addition to teaching classes in its training program and supervising its analysts-in-training. She has lectured nationally and internationally on Jungian subjects in addition to publishing articles on those topics; her article "Kristine Mann: Jung's 'Miss X' and a Pioneer in Psychoanalysis" received the Gradiva Award from the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis for the best article published in 2015. Beth is also the secretary of the board of New York's Kristine Mann Library and the book review editor for the Jungian journal Quadrant. Her special interests in Jungian work focus on dreams, mythology, fairy tales, and the expressive arts.
